DOC ut BMP Translatio
At what resolution / DPI does the BMP render?
+
Pages are rendered at 150 DPI, which is crisp on screen and fine for most printing. There is no DPI setting for DOC to BMP. For 72 or 300 DPI, convert the DOC to PDF first, then use the PDF to BMP converter, which has a Resolution setting.
Can I convert just specific pages of the DOC to BMP?
+
No. There is no page setting for DOC files, so every page is rendered as its own BMP and you keep the ones you need. If you only want the first page, convert the DOC to PDF and then use the PDF to BMP converter, whose Pages menu offers First page only.
Will the BMP be searchable or selectable text?
+
No — rasterization of the DOC to BMP turns text into pixels, so the image is not searchable or selectable. That is intentional: image output is for pixel-exact visual sharing. If you need editable or searchable output, convert the DOC to DOCX or keep it as text instead.
Is my DOC private during conversion?
+
Yes. Uploaded DOC files are processed on our own conversion servers, no person reviews them, and they are never shared. The upload and the converted BMP are both deleted automatically about 24 hours after the conversion, which leaves time to download the result. See /privacy/ for the full policy.
Quantum est DOC ad BMP per documentum longum?
+
Dependent ab amplitude et longitudine archivi. Documenta et picta minora sunt usualmente rapidae. Videorum longorum longissimum temporum est, quia multis videorum conversionibus cada frames reencodetur.
Why does my BMP look pixelated when zoomed in?
+
You are viewing a raster image, so zooming past its native resolution shows the pixels. A DOC renders at a fixed 150 DPI here. For a sharper BMP, convert the DOC to PDF and use the PDF to BMP converter at 300 DPI.
